Nyima Tashi encompasses a refreshing and diverse approach to Buddhism for the twenty-first century, through the development of an integrated approach:
To promote and foster interfaith/interdisciplinary awareness of the wide spectrum of Buddhist views and methods, as seen from the perspective of Tibetan, Mahayana, Zen, Theravada, and so forth; to foster dialogue through inviting individual and collective discourses of qualified teachers from all respective traditions, and instituting conferences, courses, and opportunities for ongoing discussion.
To help promote genuine understanding of the benefits of Buddhist philosophy and practice in modern life, through the integration of an eclectic range of western research and commentary on such topics as psychology, philosophy, medicine, and other arts and sciences.
To advance and preserve the philosophy and practices of both Kagyu and Nyingma lineages; two of the oldest schools of Tibetan Buddhism, with a particular care given to the unfolding of the Kagyu tradition.

Dear Friends and Members of Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche’s Centres,
It is with deep regret that we inform the Karma Kagyu tradition, the Nyingma tradition and all other schools of Tibetan Buddhism as well as the wider Buddhist community that our treasured and beloved Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche passed into parinirvana at 12.10 am on 24th July 2012, being the Fourth Day of the Sixth Month of the Tibetan calendar in the Year of the Dragon.
Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche was devoted to maintaining the Essence and purity of Buddhism. Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche was not only a remarkable and outstanding scholar of the teachings of Buddhism but his ability to communicate the teachings ensured that the essence of the teachings penetrated the hearts and minds of thousands of students of the Dharma throughout the world. We deeply and earnestly pray for the quick rebirth of Traleg Rinpoche.
We feel blessed beyond belief to be a part of Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche’s activities throughout the West.
Traleg Yangi Rinpoche
On 5 March 2015 the Very Venerable Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche received a letter composed by His Holiness 17th Gyalwang Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje indicating that the 10th Traleg Rinpoche had been born in the Batong area in 2013 (the year of the Snake).
Thrangu Monastery, Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, Maitripa Centre, E-Vam Institute Melbourne, E-Vam Institute USA, Nyima Tashi Kagyu Buddhist Centre and Nyima Centre Sydney commenced prayers that Traleg Rinpoche be located swiftly.
On 13 July 2015, Lodro Nyima Rinpoche and Drupon Rinchen Tseling-la led the chief committee members of Thrangu Monastery to Zama Village in Batong where they found Traleg Yangse Rinpoche’s family waiting outside their home.
Mandala offerings were made to Traleg Yangse Rinpoche and katas were offered to Rinpoche’s father, Tashi, his mother, Pema, and to Rinpoche’s grandmother.
Lodro Nyima Rinpoche then read His Holiness Gyalwang Karmapa’s recognition letter to the many disciples who had gathered for the special occasion.
Today Traleg Yangsi Rinpoche is officially recognized by Thrangu Monastery.

Happiness
The goal of Buddhism is to attain happiness and even the notion of familiarising oneself with the concept of suffering in relation to the Four Noble Truths is related to the attainment of happiness. This is because if we understand suffering better, we will have a greater chance of understanding what happiness is. If we do not bother with what makes us suffer, howe we suffer, the nature of suffering, or where that suffering is coming from, we will be less equipped to produce happiness. Whether we experience happiness or not originates from how we cope with suffering and deal with it.
Integral Buddhism
The integral approach of Buddhism involves looking comprehensively at the human condition, at human well-being. It should not be thought of as only addressing certain isolated issues of personal welfare. Some may think of Buddhism as a religion, others may think of it as a form of spiritual path, and increasingly in the modern world, yet others may see Buddhism as a form of psychology or psychotherapy. Traditionally however, Buddhism is seen as encompassing all aspects of the human condition and existence, not just once single aspect.

Beyond Two Worlds
This exquisite feature length documentary Beyond Two Worlds celebrates the life of Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche IX (1955-2012).
Recognized at the age of two as the 9th Traleg Tulku, Rinpoche escaped Tibet at the age of 5, travelling at night using the stars as a guide. After disrobing at the age of 25 and making his home in Australia, Rinpoche returned to his original home and reconnected with his people.
